By checking out the neighbouring properties, and adjusting for feature differences, an estimated value is determined for your property.

Join - create a login

First, create a login and then we need to verify who you are by either a driver’s license or passport. If you’re a non-NZ resident, you’ll need a solicitor to verifiy your identity. Ask for a free appraisal & then list your property online. You will be assigned a local Proppy expert to help you with the entire sales process to make sure you achieve best sale price.

Now a member of the Proppy family you will be given a "My Proppy" page which is your own secure dashboard of your listing. Once you have listed your property you can check in here to track the performance of your property, view questions and answers and keep your reports and important documents.

Next steps

When you’ve completed your listing, we’ll check it and confirm your timeline and approve it to go live. Once you and your local proppy expert are happy with the marketing we will tick ‘Publish now’. Ta Da!! All the world can now see your property, so kick back (we know you’ll be still on the couch) and relax. Proppy will provide key marketing statistics under your listing which are updated real time & your local proppy expert will keep you updated on your sale at all times We’ll commission and schedule to photograph your property (if you’ve selected this package) and get the marketing jobs underway. e.g. copywriting, signage, brochures, digital listings, floor plans and 3D walkthrough so everything is ready to go as soon as your listing is published.

Discuss your open home dates and times with your local proppy expert to work out the optimal time to show your home.

Our turn again. As soon as your property’s listed on Proppy, we’ll swing back into marketing action and get your listing up onto the other marketing channels you’ve selected –TradeMe, Real etc. This’ll happen pretty quickly, as we’ll have everything set up and ready to launch as soon as you hit publish. Now it’s time to tune in regularly, as interest builds, see how many people are ‘watching’ and answer questions as they arise.

Sit back and let your local Proppy expert (agent) run the open homes & take care of business. First impressions really do count. Check out our tips for making your house stand out and for ideas on how to prepare for a welcoming open home so that your agent can get a maximum sale price for you.

If you’re selling by online auction, gather the family round, hold a party, or just be a cave man and watch the online auction alone. When the online auction’s over, and you’ve climbed back down off the ceiling, we’ll send you a link to the Sale and Purchase Agreement, which you’ll sign digitally (more secure than a handwritten signature). If you’re selling by online negotiation, sit back relax until you receive an email saying “You have an offer!”. How exciting! Login to and go to your dashboard to review all the offers in real time and discuss your next steps with your local proppy expert. Then, negotiate or accept the offer - so simple!

Congratulations - put the SOLD sticker up and do a little happy dance! When the Sale and Purchase Agreement is unconditional, the finalised document will be sent to you, the buyer and your solicitor. Then your solicitor swings into action, to handle the conveyancing side of the purchase. Job done. Couldn’t be easier.
